About Churchill Knight & Associates Ltd
Churchill Knight & Associates Ltd aims to help independent professionals succeed by providing specialised, limited company accountancy services to help our clients achieve their business goals. We believe in maintaining the human aspect, and every client has access to a dedicated account manager and account team to ensure they can always speak to someone when they need to.
We started with the goal of meeting the growing demand for specialist contractor accountants, and we have played a role in the exponential growth of the contractor industry in the UK since 1998. We always want the best for our clients, which means listening to client feedback and suggestions and looking for ways to improve our services and the technology we offer to ensure we continue to meet clients’ needs and provide excellent customer service.
Our story
In 1998, John Payne, an IT contractor, decided he’d had enough of high-street accountants not understanding his specific accountancy requirements as a self-employed professional. He knew that fellow contractors were also in a similar position to him, so, alongside his wife Louise, they started Churchill Knight & Associates Ltd in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. Churchill Knight & Associates Ltd was established to provide accountancy services to contractors and freelancers in the UK and to meet the growing demand for an accountancy service that understood limited company contractors’ filing and bookkeeping requirements.
Initially working with a small team in their family home, John and Louise quickly realised they needed to expand and, in 2006, moved to an office building in Potters Bar. Since then, the business has continued to grow and now has a bustling office of over 100 professionals providing accountancy services to hundreds of contractors and freelancers all over the UK.
